Santander’s simplification programme continues to impact roles across the business, with redundancies remaining a concern for affected members. Recent changes currently under consultation have focused on the Chief Financial Office,  as well as Non-Financial Risk and Operations.

Advance is actively challenging these changes and pushing for any new roles to be offered to displaced members first.

In other news in November, General Secretary Jim Leonard and Deputy General Secretary Keith Hoyland will meet with the CEO to discuss key member concerns, including:

• The pace and nature of change as well as the member experience when it does occur.
• The impact of high-performance culture and the perceived pressure this creates.
• Early thoughts on the TSB acquisition and its implications
