Training update
We are excited to share the next steps in the rollout of our new foundational training programme for all Advance Union representatives.
In preparation for the formal launch, we will be inviting members of the National Executive Committee and our Caseworkers to conduct full user testing of the two mandatory training modules in November. This is a vital part of ensuring the modules are intuitive, accessible, and effective for all reps to complete using their specific facilities day.
Following this testing phase, all current representatives will be registered in early December, ready to begin their training journey. Time off for this will be agreed between you and your manager and needs to be completed by the end of Q1 2026.
These online modules are designed to equip you with the core knowledge needed to excel in your role and ensure a consistent, high-quality standard of representation across our union. Completion of both modules is mandatory for every representative, from the General Secretary to newly appointed reps.
Access & Flexibility
Training will be available via the Coursebox app and website, accessible on any personal device – phone, laptop, or tablet and an email will be sent directly to those supporting user testing, registering them to Coursebox in the first week of November. Keith Hoyland is leading this project and will be your first point of contact to assist access as well as any feedback.
