As you know, the Employment Rights Act 2025 received Royal Assent on 18 December 2025 with the Strikes (Minimum Service Levels) Act 2023 being repealed immediately. Provisions simplifying industrial action come into force on 18 February 2026 and further changes to employment legislation will be introduced in April & October of this year.
We are proposing to hold a webinar for our union clients on the Employment Rights Act 2026 with a focus on those provisions coming into force this year. The webinar will focus on three key areas:
- industrial action and trade union recognition;
- fire and rehire, and enhanced union activity in the workplace;
- family-friendly rights and protection from harassment.
This 90-minute session at 11.00am on 11 February 2026 is designed to provide trade union representatives with insights into the Act and practical tips around dealing with these issues.

We are already working with some of our union clients to deliver bespoke tailored training on various parts of the Act but wanted to hold this webinar as an “open” event to run in tandem with those programmes. We also intend to advertise the event through our ELR publication which can be accessed here.
