Advance Union to Establish DEI Committee to Shape Future Strategy

Advance Union is taking an important step forward in strengthening its commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) by forming a new DEI Committee. This group will play a central role in developing a comprehensive DEI strategy for the union, ensuring that our policies, culture and representation continue to evolve in a way that reflects and supports all our members.

The committee will be chaired by Arthur Lord, the union’s DEI Lead on the National Executive Committee (NEC). Arthur brings deep experience, passion and leadership in advancing inclusive practices across the organisation, and will guide the group in its work to shape a forward‑looking DEI roadmap.

The committee will be made up exclusively of workplace representatives who have a broad interest in promoting and championing the DEI agenda. Members of the group will help research, design and evolve Advance Union’s DEI strategy, ensuring that members’ experiences and voices are placed at the centre of this work.

How to Get Involved

We are inviting any workplace representative who would like to contribute to this important initiative to submit an Expression of Interest

Please send your EOI to Keith Hoyland no later than 23rd February on keith@advance-union.org

This is a valuable opportunity to help shape the future of DEI within Advance Union and contribute to meaningful, lasting cultural change.
