Join the Working Conditions Sub-Committee and Make a Real Difference

Our union has a proud history of standing up for members’ rights and safeguarding the working conditions that matter most. Ensuring safe workplaces and championing work-life balance, our collective strength has made a tangible difference in the lives of many members.

But the work doesn’t stop here…..

As the world of work continues to evolve with new challenges and opportunities emerging every day, we need passionate, committed representatives like you to step forward and help shape the future of our workplace.  We are calling on union reps to join a newly formed Working Conditions Sub-Committee,  a dedicated working group focused on enhancing the quality of work life for all our members.

Why Join the Sub-Committee?

  • Be a Voice for Change – This is your chance to influence policies and initiatives that directly impact members’ day-to-day experience at work.
  • Build on Our Success – Help maintain the excellent protections our union has fought hard to secure, ensuring they adapt and improve with changing times
  • Collaborate and Learn – Work alongside experienced reps, union leaders, and experts to share ideas, develop strategies, and implement practical solutions.
  • Strengthen Solidarity – By coming together, we reinforce our collective power to negotiate better conditions.

What Will the Sub-Committee Do?

  • Review current workplace conditions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop proposals to address emerging issues such as mental health support, flexible working, workplace safety, and fair workload distribution.
  • Support ongoing campaigns and negotiations to protect and enhance members’ rights.
  • Communicate regularly with members to ensure their concerns and ideas are heard and acted upon.

Who Can Join?

Whether you are a Local Area Union rep, National Executive Committee Rep, or new to the role, your voice matters. We welcome reps from all sectors who are motivated to make a positive impact. No prior experience in committee work is necessary – just a commitment to make a difference for your colleagues and a willingness to collaborate.
