Union Representative Elections 2026 – Time to Step Forward again

This year marks an important point in our union calendar, as all union representative roles (apart from the General Secretary, President and Vice President) will be open for re-election for the new term beginning on 1 January 2027.

As representatives, you are the foundation of our union. You are the people on the ground—supporting colleagues in their workplaces, giving members a voice, and ensuring that issues are heard and addressed across sites, departments and regions. Your role is vital in strengthening our union and protecting the interests of all members.

As we approach this election cycle, all current representatives will need to reapply if they wish to continue in the role. We hope many of our existing reps will stand again and build on the excellent work already being delivered.

At the same time, we are keen to see new faces come forward. We particularly encourage members in areas where we currently have limited or no representation to consider putting themselves forward. As a representative, please reach out to anyone across different functions and locations you feel may be interested. As you are aware, becoming a union representative is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference for your colleagues.
