What is our plan on how we will do our best for our members

We want to be the Union's experts in all parts of the Santander UK business to work on behalf of our members to aim for common ground but ultimately to get the most for our members.

We want to  develop and embed a refreshed Partnership Agreement review the Industrial relations framework, to ensure we make good use of the time of both the Union and Senior Management.

We want input at the “Thinking Stage” to enshrine AU’S buy-in to organisational change.

We feel we can build on trust to have positive employee relations both ways – we have to earn and keep trust (as do Santander).

We believe in the spirit of working in Collaboration at every level where we can, and to show members that this is how we act.

We want a quality Representative base, which is able to act in the interest of members or direct members to get the best representation.

Ensure that all our representatives  work within the agreed Policies and Principles.
True progression for our people by completing  ongoing development and coaching.
Enable personal development.
Give accountability and responsibility to specifically selected representatives  and a “skill-maintenance” approach.
Give accountability to elected roles through the Election Process.
Help resolve matters locally and informally, where possible.
Steps  will continually be taken to improve consistency – best practice in sharing agreed principles.

To recruit and retain members across all parts of the Business.

We will develop a plan working with Santander to close gaps with specific demographics.

Continually evolve our proposition to meet the changing needs of our members.

Encourage members to share the importance of being a member of Advance Union.

Develop a Communications Strategy.

Encourage local messages, delivered through a controlled framework.
Investment in professional services to widen our reach through Digital Solutions, particularly harnessing Social Media.
Help develop technical solutions to support us.
