A message from the General Secretary

“This short course is designed for new workplace representatives of Advance Union, focusing on the values and principles that define our organisation. You will learn about the union’s essential functions, our responsibilities, and how to collaborate effectively with Santander. We will cover the varied roles and accountabilities of different representatives, helping to ensure that all members are represented fairly and effectively in the workplace”.

During the course, you will;

• Understand the core values and principles of Advance Union.
• Identify the key responsibilities and accountabilities of a workplace representative.
• Develop skills to foster a productive partnership with Santander Managers at all levels.
• Recognise the diverse roles within the union and how they interconnect.
• Learn effective communication strategies to advocate for members’ interests.
